Coach Bea Wins Nogi Pans Master 1 Middleweight Division
Kogaion Academy coach Bea took first place in the Master 1 middleweight division at IBJJF No-Gi Pans, adding another major championship title to her competitive resume. Friend of the gym, Nikki, also flew under the Kogaion flag and won featherweight gold in the Master 1 featherweight division!
Competing in the black belt division, Beatrice secured the gold medal with an ankle lock submission in less than 50 seconds.
The quick finish showcased the effectiveness of attacking immediately from the opening exchanges and capitalizing on opportunities as soon as they appear. Rather than settling into a long positional battle, Beatrice was able to enter the leg attack, secure control, and finish the ankle lock before the first minute of the match.
